A fundraiser has been launched to support former Ba and Fiji national football player Tuimasi Manuca, who is currently battling lung and brain cancer.
Manuca is widely known in Fiji’s football community as a prolific striker who played a key role for Ba Football, including being part of the famous 2007 Ba “clean sweep” team that dominated Fiji football by winning all major domestic competitions that year.
Friends and supporters say the diagnosis has come as a shock, and the family is now facing significant medical and treatment expenses.
In a social media appeal, close friend and former national rep Alvin Singh described Manuca as not only a respected footballer but also a devoted husband and loving father.
“This has come as a shock and has been a really difficult time for Tuimasi and his family, with treatments and medical expenses,” Singh said while sharing the fundraiser.
