Four Korovou Prison Escapees Recaptured Following Joint Operation
FIJI NEWS

All four inmates who escaped from Korovou Prison on Tuesday night have been recaptured, thanks to swift joint efforts by the Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Corrections Service.
Acting Commissioner of Police, Livai Driu, confirmed that the quick response from both authorities led to the successful apprehension of the escapees.
“We received the report around 9:00pm last night, and our Police Stations and Community Posts were immediately informed,” said Mr Driu.
“Roadblocks were activated along the Suva-Nausori corridor and remained in place through the morning.”
The four individuals are currently in police custody and are expected to be charged for escaping from lawful custody before being handed back to the Fiji Corrections Service.
