The Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital in Nasese has successfully completed its 19th pediatric surgical mission, providing free heart surgeries to children suffering from congenital heart disease.

From February 11 to 18, a 22-member medical team led by Professor Laszlo Kiraly from Singapore’s National University Hospital (NUH) worked alongside specialists from India and Australia to perform life-saving procedures at no cost to families.

Among the beneficiaries were 10-year-old Usaia Kubukawa from Kadavu and 13-year-old Malakai Colabenu, whose families expressed gratitude for the hospital’s generosity in covering surgery, meals, and care.

The mission was commended by Australian High Commission First Secretary Tess McSpedden and Indian High Commission Second Secretary Pradeep Menon, who acknowledged the hospital’s vital role in providing pediatric cardiac care in Fiji.

With each mission, the Sai Prema Foundation and Sanjeevani Hospital continue to offer hope and healing, ensuring that Fijian children receive the medical care they desperately need.
