14-year-old Mereia Turaganivalu from Gospel High School, Team Fiji's youngest lifter, won a bronze medal in the Women’s 59kg Youth category at the 2024 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships.

The event, held at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, features 24 athletes from Fiji across Senior, Junior, and Youth divisions. Turaganivalu's success highlights Fiji's rising talent in weightlifting. Her achievement brings pride to both her school and the nation.
