Tech businessman Semi Tukana has publicly voiced his support for Grace Road Group's continued expansion in Fiji, describing the company's impact on retail, hospitality and public convenience as "refreshing" and saying it has elevated customer experiences to a level comparable with, and in some cases better than, those found in Australia and New Zealand.

In a social media post, Tukana said Grace Road's investments had transformed the shopping and dining experience for many Fijians while contributing hundreds of millions of dollars to the economy.

He said he was particularly looking forward to the completion of Grace Road's new Princes Road development in Suva, which is expected to include a restaurant and gym overlooking Suva Harbour.

"As a Princes Road resident, I no longer have to travel all the way to the city centre, Albert Park or Laucala Bay Point to join a gym. This gym will be within walking distance for me," Tukana said.

He also dismissed concerns that the development would significantly increase traffic in the area, noting that existing Grace Road businesses nearby would simply relocate to the new complex.

Beyond the company's developments, Tukana praised Grace Road's customer service and facilities, particularly along the Queens Road corridor where many travellers regularly stop during long journeys.

He said the company's locations in Navua, Yadua and Korovuto had provided travellers with clean, accessible facilities that were often difficult to find elsewhere.

"Grace Roads has brought respect and dignity back to the travelling public," he said.

Tukana said the quality of Grace Road's washrooms, restaurants and customer service had made the company a preferred stop for many travellers, adding that customers were often happy to support the business because of the experience provided.

He stressed that his comments were made as a customer and not as a paid endorsement.

"I must categorically state here that I never received any monetary benefits from posting this on my page. I am simply a happy customer."
