Daniel Kim and the Grace Road Group continue to cement their place as one of Fiji’s most significant private sector success stories, with ongoing investments, large-scale employment, and community-focused developments now touching the lives of thousands of Fijians across the country.

Having made Fiji their home, Daniel Kim and Grace Road have continued to reinvest in the country at a scale few private investors have matched, employing more than 1,000 local workers while building businesses and facilities that serve everyday Fijians, from supermarkets and restaurants to bakeries, wellness centres, accommodation, and now major fitness infrastructure.

Despite facing significant challenges, the group has never wavered in its commitment to the country, instead choosing to expand, create opportunities, and continue building for the future.

Their latest investment, the opening of True Fitness in Navua, for example, has drawn praise from both traditional leadership and government, with many describing it as another example of Grace Road’s long-term commitment to Fiji.

The Tui Namosi, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, described the development as a major boost for the people of Serua and Namosi, saying the project reflects a strong partnership between communities and investors.

“This development is not only about business, but it is about improving the well-being of our people,” he said.

Ratu Suliano said the facility comes at an important time, particularly as both provinces continue to face rising cases of obesity and non-communicable diseases.

He added that the gym, expected to be one of the largest in Fiji, provides access to modern, state-of-the-art equipment that has not previously been widely available in the region.

Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources, Filimoni Vosarogo also commended the investment, saying developments like this highlight the importance of partnerships between government, the private sector, and communities.

“Development cannot be achieved by government alone. It requires collaboration to create real and lasting impact,” he said.

Vosarogo said investments by companies like Grace Road do far more than contribute to economic growth.

He said they create opportunities for ordinary Fijians, strengthen communities, and help build the kind of long-term development the country needs.

As Grace Road continues to expand across multiple sectors, the group's journey in Fiji is increasingly being seen not simply as business success, but as a long-term commitment to the country.
