Grace Road Investment Encourages Healthier Fiji, Says Vosarogo

The push towards healthier living in Fiji has received further backing, with Government reinforcing the importance of fitness and wellness following the opening of True Fitness by the Grace Road Group.

Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Filimoni Vosarogo said the investment reflects a growing need to address lifestyle related health challenges in the country.

Speaking at the opening as the Chief Guest, Vosarogo said the facility represents more than just a new business venture.

“This is more than just a gym. It is a space that encourages discipline, promotes healthy living, and supports both physical and mental well being,” he said.

He noted that Grace Road’s move into the fitness space shows a shift from simply providing services to actively helping shape healthier lifestyles in communities.

Vosarogo said Fiji is at a point where issues such as sedentary living and rising non communicable diseases can no longer be ignored, adding that facilities like True Fitness should now be seen as a necessity rather than a luxury.

He also directed a strong message to young people, warning of the challenges they face.

“Fiji today is at a point where we cannot afford to lose our young people to bad choices, including the very real threat of drugs in our communities,” he said.

He encouraged youth to make use of the facility as a positive outlet.

“Use this fitness centre as a place to build discipline, confidence and strength. Invest in yourself, your health, your mindset and your future.”

Vosarogo said developments like this highlight the importance of partnerships between government, the private sector and communities.

“Development cannot be achieved by government alone. It requires collaboration to create real and lasting impact,” he said.

He added that investments by companies like Grace Road not only contribute to economic growth, but also improve quality of life and create opportunities for people.

The opening of True Fitness marks another step in Grace Road’s expansion in Fiji, while also aligning with national efforts to promote healthier lifestyles and stronger communities.
