Gym a Major Boost for Namosi and Serua

The opening of the new True Fitness gym in Navua has been welcomed by traditional leadership, with the Tui Namosi describing it as a major development for the people of Serua and Namosi.
Ratu Suliano Matanitobua acknowledged Grace Road Group and the vanua of Serua for the traditional welcome, saying the project reflects a strong partnership between communities and investors.
He said the new facility comes at an important time, noting that health records show an increase in overweight and non communicable disease cases in the two provinces.
“This development is not only about business, it is about improving the wellbeing of our people,” he said.
Ratu Suliano highlighted that the gym is expected to become one of the largest in the country, providing modern, state of the art equipment that has not been widely accessible in the region before.
“For residents of Navua and nearby areas such as Serua and Namosi, this is a major addition to community infrastructure in a region that has traditionally had limited access to high end training facilities,” he said.
He said the True Fitness gym adds to a growing list of major projects by Grace Road Group in the area, reinforcing its long term commitment to development, job creation and improved living standards.
The facility is already drawing interest from elite athletes, including national and provincial rugby teams, who are using the gym as part of their preparation for competitions.
“This highlights the quality of the equipment and the training environment now available locally,” he said.
Ratu Suliano added that the gym is expected to cater not only to everyday users, but also to athletes seeking professional level training.
He said the investment builds on Grace Road’s broader developments in Fiji, which have created jobs and expanded services for local communities.
As the group continues to grow across sectors, he said the launch of Fiji’s largest gym signals a shift toward larger, lifestyle focused developments.
Ratu Suliano wished the Grace Road Group well in its future projects, saying the investment reflects confidence in the people of Fiji and the future of Navua and surrounding areas.
