The Fiji Meteorological Service has issued a Heavy Rain Warning for the Northern Division and a Flash Flood Warning for low-lying areas in parts of Vanua Levu, including Labasa Town and nearby regions, due to a stationary trough of low pressure.

Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected to ease later today, but persistent downpours may cause flash flooding.

A Strong Wind Warning is also in place for coastal areas of Rakiraki, Western Bua, and parts of Yasawa, Lomaiviti, and Lau Groups, with winds reaching 45 km/h

Residents are advised to exercise caution, avoid flooded areas, and stay updated through official channels.

Weather conditions are expected to improve by Saturday.
