Heavy Rain, Flood, and Strong Wind Warnings Issued Across Fiji Amid Tropical Disturbance
FIJI NEWS

The Fiji Meteorological Service has issued multiple weather warnings, including a heavy rain warning for the Northern Division, Lomaiviti, and Lau Group, while other parts of Fiji have seen this warning lifted.
Flood warnings remain in effect for areas adjacent to and downstream of the FSC River in Tavua and the Nakauvadra River in Rakiraki, alongside a flash flood warning for low-lying and flood-prone areas in Ba, Tavua, and Rakiraki.
Additionally, strong wind warnings persist for the eastern half and interior of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups, with gusts reaching up to 65 km/hr, although conditions are expected to ease later today.
The situation is driven by Tropical Disturbance 01F, located 80 km north-northeast of Suva, moving eastward at 20 km/hr.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue in the affected regions, while other areas, including Nadi and Lautoka, are forecast to experience mainly fine weather.
Residents are urged to remain cautious, as localized heavy falls could lead to flash flooding.
