Heavy Rain Warning
FIJI NEWS

The National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi has issued a heavy rain warning for the Fiji group due to a slow-moving trough of low pressure with an embedded shallow low pressure system.
This weather pattern is expected to bring occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms until Monday. Significant rainfall has been recorded in the past 24 hours, with Nagado receiving 181.5mm and Rarawai Mill 174.0mm.
The forecast indicates a risk of flash flooding in low-lying areas, informal settlements, and small streams, as well as surface flooding on roads with poor drainage.
High tide at 7:35 PM is expected to exacerbate flooding risks.
Residents are advised to stay safe and take necessary precautions.
