Heavy Rain Warning Issued for Fiji as Trough of Low - Pressure Approaches

A heavy rain alert is in effect for the rest of the country.

A trough of low pressure is currently affecting the southern parts of Fiji, with another trough approaching from the west.

This weather system is expected to bring occasional rain, heavy at times, along with thunderstorms over Kadavu, Lomaiviti, and the central and southern Lau groups.

Other areas will experience cloudy conditions with showers, which are expected to increase to rain later today.

Heavy rain falls may lead to flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
