Heavy Rain Warning - Risk of Major Flooding in Fiji
FIJI NEWS

The Fiji Meteorological Service has issued a heavy rain warning this morning for parts of Fiji, with a high risk of major flooding.
The warning is for Western and Interior Viti Levu (from Momi to Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, and Interior Ra), Tailevu North, Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, the Lomaiviti group, and the Southern Lau group.
Heavy rain is caused by a slow-moving weather system bringing thick clouds and downpours.
This could lead to flooding of rivers, roads, homes, and nearby areas.
People living near rivers and streams are urged to prepare for possible flooding or landslides, which could be dangerous.
Disruptions to roads, power, and essential services are also expected.
The public is advised to stay informed about the latest weather updates and take precautions to stay safe.
