Hon. Penioni Koliniwai Ravunawa Sworn In as Assistant Minister for Health

Hon. Penioni Koliniwai Ravunawa has been officially sworn in as the new Assistant Minister for Health and Medical Services.

The ceremony took place today at the State House, where Hon. Ravunawa took his oath of allegiance and office before His Excellency, the President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, Na Gone Turaga Bale Na Tui Cakau.

Hon. Ravunawa is a registered dental practitioner and a skilled public health professional with extensive experience in health policy and administration.

His expertise is expected to strengthen the leadership of the Health Ministry, supporting Minister for Health and Medical Services, Hon. Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu.

Speaking about the event, Hon. Ravunawa said the day’s ceremony was a significant moment for the nation, highlighting the importance of unity and collaboration for the country’s progress.

He commended the teamwork among leaders, despite competing on different platforms during the 2022 general elections.

"The Group of Nine has shown patriotism by coming together to lead the nation. This is a step forward for a united Fiji," he said.

Hon. Ravunawa’s appointment is seen as a positive move to strengthen Fiji's health sector and improve services for all citizens.
