Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro, has extended his heartfelt Eid-Ul-Fitr greetings to teachers, students, and the Muslim community in Fiji and around the world, highlighting the importance of unity, education, and compassion.
“As-Salaam-Alaikum and Eid Mubarak to all as we commemorate this joyous occasion. Eid is a time of reflection, gratitude, and togetherness, and it is also a moment to recognize the dedication of our educators, the achievements of our students, and the unwavering support of families,” he said.
Hon. Radrodro emphasized that Fiji’s diverse cultural landscape is a source of strength, and such celebrations serve as a reminder to appreciate differences while embracing shared values.
“Fiji is a land of celebration and diversity. Occasions like Eid encourage us to look beyond ethnicity, religion, and other differences, focusing instead on the values that unite us as human beings,” he stated.
He further urged parents and teachers to continue fostering a culture of learning and respect in both homes and schools.
“As we celebrate Eid, I encourage parents and educators to instill in our children the importance of education, kindness, and respect. Through quality and inclusive education, we can nurture virtues that will help create a better future for the next generation,” he said.
Hon. Radrodro also reminded Fijians to extend generosity to those in need, embodying the spirit of Eid by sharing blessings with the less fortunate.
"As we come together with family and friends to celebrate, let us also take a moment to remember those who are struggling and reach out with kindness and support,” he concluded.
