The Hope Carnival Committee has issued a public clarification following social media speculation over a vehicle displayed at the carnival’s popular car show event in Nadi.

According to the committee, the car show was an open competition that welcomed entries from private individuals across the country. A particular vehicle, which drew attention online for allegedly displaying a fake number plate, has now been confirmed to have been entered independently and is not affiliated with the carnival’s organizers.

“The vehicle in question was submitted by a private individual and is in no way associated with the Hope Committee, its organizers, or partners,” said Ana Masere, speaking on behalf of the committee.

Masere added that the committee remains focused on delivering a positive, family-friendly event that supports youth empowerment and community engagement.

“We regret any confusion this has caused and thank the public for their understanding,” she said.

The Hope Charity Carnival, held annually in Nadi, continues to draw large crowds in support of charitable causes and youth programs.
