Housing Minister to Meet on Relocation of Nabua Families
FIJI NEWS

The Minister for Housing, Maciu Nalumisa, will meet with the Fiji Muslim League today to discuss relocating over 200 families living in a squatter settlement in Nabua.
This comes after Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka instructed the Housing Ministry to quickly work on a relocation plan for the affected residents.
The families have been living on land legally owned by the Fiji Muslim League and have received eviction notices to vacate by this Saturday.
Prime Minister Rabuka assured that the government is committed to ensuring the families are relocated properly.
He noted that the timeline for the relocation depends on the period given in the eviction notice.
The Ministry of Housing is actively working on a plan, and discussions with the Fiji Muslim League aim to find a solution for the affected families as soon as possible
