Israel and China Clash Over Media Campaign Claims

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused China of leading what he described as an “information blockade” against Israel. Speaking earlier this week, Netanyahu said China, alongside Qatar, was driving a media campaign aimed at isolating Israel internationally.

The Chinese Embassy in Tel Aviv rejected the claims, calling them “groundless and irresponsible.” In a statement, the embassy said such remarks “seriously harm bilateral relations” and urged Israel to avoid damaging ties between the two countries.

The dispute comes as Israel faces mounting global scrutiny over its military operations in Gaza.

China has positioned itself as a supporter of the Palestinian cause, frequently calling for ceasefires and criticizing Israeli actions at the United Nations.
