A team of three expert doctors from Israel, deployed by the Israeli Government, have successfully completed a preliminary assessment of selected hospitals, health centres, and nursing stations across Fiji, covering both coastal and interior regions.

The visit was part of ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, following a high-level meeting between Israel’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Fiji, His Excellency Roi Rosenblit, and senior Ministry officials including Permanent Secretary Dr. Jemesa Tudravu, Acting Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Luisa Cikamatana-Rauto, and Chief Surgeon Dr. Josese Turagava.

The Israeli medical team conducted site visits to better understand Fiji’s healthcare landscape and identify areas where cooperation can be further strengthened.

The Ministry said the visit reflects the continued growth of bilateral cooperation between Israel and Fiji in the health sector.
