The Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza has reported that Israeli forces targeted the hospital's power generators and fired at staff in the intensive care unit.

The ongoing conflict has further strained Gaza's medical infrastructure.

Amjad Shawa, head of the Palestinian NGOs Network, has warned that the death toll from Israeli attacks on Gaza is likely much higher than the Ministry of Health's reported total of over 45,000 fatalities as of today.

In Khan Younis, an Israeli strike on a UNRWA-run school killed at least 20 people.

This follows previous assaults, including one on a school in Beit Hanoun that claimed 43 lives and another on a Palestinian Civil Defence post, which killed Al Jazeera cameraman Ahmed al-Louh and five rescue workers.

The war on Gaza, ongoing since October 7, 2023, has resulted in at least 45,028 Palestinian deaths and 106,962 injuries.

In Israel, the conflict began with Hamas-led attacks that killed 1,139 people, injured many others, and led to the abduction of over 200 people.

Meanwhile, the Israeli government has announced plans to double the population of Israeli settlers in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.

As the crisis deepens, calls for an end to the violence and the protection of civilians grow increasingly urgent on the international stage.
