Israel's military reported killing approximately 20 Palestinian militants in a significant operation at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, marking one of its largest actions in the area.

The assault, which started on Friday, led to the evacuation of patients and medical staff, rendering the facility inoperative.

During the operation, Israeli forces detained 240 individuals, including the hospital's director, Hossam Abu Safiyeh, who is suspected of Hamas ties.

Gaza health officials and the World Health Organization confirmed that the raid effectively shut down one of the region's last operational medical centers.
