Joint Border Enforcement Efforts Lead to Arrest of Suspected Methamphetamine Trafficker in Fiji

On the morning of January 31, 2025, a collaborative operation between border law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of a 33-year-old Fijian national.
The suspect, who had just disembarked from an international flight, was found with white crystal substances believed to be methamphetamine.
The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service officers, utilizing K9 capabilities, conducted a search that resulted in the discovery of the alleged illicit substances.
The seized substances have been sent for analysis.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu expressed appreciation for the joint efforts in curbing drug trafficking, emphasizing the shared mission of protecting all Fijians from the impacts of illicit drugs.
