The judgment for former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and former Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho has been delayed.

The High Court was expected to deliver its ruling today, but Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has postponed it to next Thursday.

He has asked both sides to file more written submissions by Tuesday afternoon on certain constitutional provisions that affect the case.

Bainimarama is charged with making an unwarranted demand, while Qiliho faces two counts of abuse of office.

The charges relate to alleged pressure on the police to dismiss two officers in 2021.
