Koro Island High School today hosted its Cadet Pass-Out Parade, with Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu as the chief guest.

Addressing the students, Mr. Tudravu emphasized the importance of discipline and comradeship—two key pillars of any cadet training program.

“The precision in the conduct of the parade is a reflection of discipline and camaraderie, united in a common purpose or goal,” he said.

He also expressed concern over the rising number of young people making poor choices, warning that many are straying down a path of regret due to a lack of respect for guidance from home.

He reminded students of the growing issue of drug possession among youth and reassured them of the Fiji Police Force’s ongoing efforts to curb drug circulation.

“As you march off this parade ground, take a moment to appreciate everyone who has assisted you on your journey. Recognize how far you have come and those who have stood by your side. This appreciation will help you understand where you need to go and what you need to achieve to make their sacrifices worthwhile,” he told the students.

Uluikade House was named the best platoon, while Apenisa Ledua of Koroibola House received the award for best male platoon commander.

Simeli Cokanasiga of Kuitarua House was recognized as the best male cadet, and Melissa Koroi of Uluikade House was named the best female cadet.

Sevai House won the best overall award, and the baton of honor was presented to Jona Vibose, the parade commander and head boy of the school.
