Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Hon. Professor Biman Prasad, was welcomed by the people of Korobebe Village during a community consultation held ahead of the national budget announcement.

Villagers highlighted several key concerns, including access to clean water and proper sanitation, poor road conditions, the need for a community center, support for the village primary school, and assistance to grow local businesses.

Following the consultation, Professor Prasad visited the nearby Tuvatu Mine, where he was informed that the river water is now safe and that steps have been taken to address previous environmental concerns.

The visit is part of the government’s commitment to inclusive development and ongoing engagement with communities across the country.
