Labour Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhry has been actively engaging with communities in Nadi and Lautoka, speaking directly to the people about the governance issues affecting the nation and listening to their concerns.
This morning, Chaudhry held a small pocket meeting in Votualevu, Nadi, where he met with local farmers and businessmen to hear their challenges and discuss potential solutions. The meeting provided a platform for the community members to voice their concerns on various issues affecting their livelihoods, particularly in the agricultural sector.
Among those present at the meeting were well-known local figures, including Babuji the Legend, Hemant Kumar, a businessman from Waqadra, who was seen shaking hands with Chaudhry in a show of support. Also in attendance was Dhirendra Nath, a retired biosecurity officer and farmer, who took the opportunity to discuss the challenges facing the farming community in the region.
Chaudhry's meeting in Votualevu forms part of his ongoing efforts to connect with everyday Fijians and understand the issues that matter most to them, with a particular focus on the agricultural and business sectors, which are vital to Fiji's economy.
