Lauren Pilla Makes History As Fiji’s First Youth International in Aerobic Gymnastics
FIJI NEWS

Fiji has reached a new milestone in gymnastics with the selection of Lauren Pilla as the nation’s first Youth International athlete in Aerobic Gymnastics (AER). Lauren will represent Fiji at the 2026 AER World Cup in Tokyo, Japan.
Her selection follows an outstanding performance in the AER division at the 2024 Australian National Clubs Carnival and the endorsement of Deborah Greenbaum—FIG Brevet 1 Judge and Australian National Youth AER Coach.
Coach Deb’s ongoing development visits to Fiji in 2024 and 2025 have played a pivotal role in the growth of Aerobic Gymnastics in the country, contributing directly to Lauren’s achievement.
Lauren will join Fiji’s Senior International athlete, Robyn Eastgate, at the World Cup—marking a proud moment for the Gymnastics Federation of Fiji and a significant leap forward for the sport locally.
Her journey began in 2023 after her mother responded to a Facebook ad from AeroGym Fiji. Since then, Lauren has immersed herself in the sport, building on her early passion for gymnastics and ballet.
Off the mat, Lauren is a creative spirit who enjoys reading, music, and makeup. Her love for performing, learning new skills, and connecting with her teammates has been central to her rapid progress.
The Gymnastics Federation of Fiji has extended its gratitude to the Fiji National Sports Commission and the Oceania Gymnastics Union for their ongoing support of the sport’s development.
Lauren’s selection is not only a personal victory but a promising sign for the future of Aerobic Gymnastics in Fiji.
