Lion of Judah Declares: “Fiji Is a Christian State”

Abel Camillo, leader of the proposed Lion of Judah Party, has publicly rebuked Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka over his recent remarks that Fiji is not a Christian state—accusing the PM of betraying the country’s faith-based roots and warning that such statements could end his political career.
“You just buried your political career with your recent statements,” Camillo said in a strongly worded public message. “Your 5/8 faith is why Fiji is a beggar nation. After your term in government, go hide in a cave and leave real leaders to fix our nation, Fiji, and protect Rotuma.”
Rabuka, speaking earlier this week, had urged Christians to live out their faith in practice rather than pushing for constitutional declarations, reiterating that Fiji remains a secular state under its 2013 Constitution.
But Camillo rejected that position outright, asserting, “We respect all faiths, but let this be known—Fiji is a Christian state, and that’s the end of the story.”
The Lion of Judah Party, which is currently gathering signatures for official registration with the Fijian Elections Office, has campaigned on a platform rooted in Christian values, Fijian nationalism, and moral reform.
