Ponipate Loganimasi, a 26-year-old Olympic silver medalist and former captain of Kombat Uluinakau, has signed with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.
Loganimasi will join his Olympic teammates Iosefo Masi and Selestino Ravutaumada at Drua.
He made a strong debut for the Fiji national team, scoring two tries in the Pacific Nations Cup final against Japan after joining the team due to an injury to Ravutaumada.
Originally from Ono-i-Lau and with family ties to Nabua in Savusavu, Loganimasi scored an impressive 35 tries during his time with the Fijian 7s team in the 2023-2024 World Series before winning silver at the Paris Olympics.

"I want to thank the Lord for this opportunity. Many kids in Fiji dream of playing for the Drua, and I feel blessed to have this chance." said Loganimasi.
He also thanked the Drua management for their trust and looks forward to training with the team.
Fijian Drua Head Coach, Glen Jackson praised Loganimasi, calling his debut with the national team "unbelievable." He believes Loganimasi will be a great addition to the club.
