Man Arrested in Navua for Alleged Drug Possession

A man from Tokotoko, Navua, was arrested last night after police discovered dried leaves suspected to be marijuana in his home.
The Fiji Police Force, assisted by the Fiji Dog Detector Unit (FDDU), conducted a search of the suspect’s residence with a warrant.
K9 Herb, a trained detection dog, helped identify areas of interest, leading to the discovery of the dried leaves hidden under a mattress, in a bedroom wardrobe, and beneath the kitchen table.
A total of 171 dried plants believed to be marijuana were seized during the operation.
The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
