Man Charged for Alleged Sexual Assault of Daughter

A 40-year-old man has been charged for allegedly sexually assaulting his 14-year-old daughter.

Police say the matter was reported at the Valelevu Police Station by the victim, who alleged that the incident occurred in October 2025 at their home while other family members were away in Lautoka.

It is alleged that following the incident, the accused threatened the victim not to tell anyone.

The man has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of criminal intimidation.

He is expected to be produced at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.

Police investigations are continuing.

The accused has been charged and will have the opportunity to respond to the allegations in court. As the matter is now before the courts, further comment may be limited.
