Man Charged Over Alleged $10,000 Vehicle Purchase Scam

A man in his 40s will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court, charged in connection with the alleged theft of $10,000.

According to police, the accused allegedly stole the money in May 2024. The funds were intended for the purchase of a vehicle on behalf of an individual residing overseas.

The man has been charged with one count of theft and one count of possession of property suspected of being proceeds of crime.
