Man in Custody for Alleged Illegal Liquor Sale in Village

A man is in police custody after he was allegedly found selling liquor from his home in a village within the Eastern Division.
The arrest was made following a raid conducted by the Eastern Division team on Wednesday, 2nd July 2025, during which several cans of assorted liquor were seized.
Police confirm the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
The Fiji Police Force is calling on the public to report individuals involved in the illegal sale of alcohol, highlighting that liquor-related incidents have contributed to serious harm and loss of lives.
Community leaders are also urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to their respective Divisional Police Command Centres.
