Meet Mr Duavata News

Among the spirited youth taking the stage at the 2025 Hope Carnival is Faraz Hussein, a 17-year-old advocate proudly sponsored by Duavata News.

With a firm belief in the power of unity and awareness, Faraz is using his voice to champion the event’s timely theme: “Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life.”

A current student of Nadi Muslim College, Faraz says his motivation to participate was rooted in a simple but powerful desire—to remind others of the value of life.

“I was inspired to take part just to help spread the message,” he shared. “People need to know how important it is to choose life over drugs and how much more they can achieve when they stay on a positive path.”

Outside of his advocacy work, Faraz is passionate about sports and gaming. He enjoys playing soccer and is a dedicated fan of the popular mobile game Free Fire. When he’s relaxing, you’ll likely find him watching Marvel movies or exploring the world of anime, both of which he says fuel his imagination and drive.

When asked how he would promote this year’s theme, Faraz responded with wisdom beyond his years:

“Choosing to stay away from drugs is choosing life, health, and happiness. Let’s commit to supporting each other, spreading awareness, and creating a community where everyone feels empowered to make positive choices.”
