Authorities are investigating the discovery of white substances believed to be methamphetamine on the compound of a school in Vunidawa.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Mr Livai Driu confirmed that several arrests have been made in connection with this incident, including operations in Nausori Town and Vunimono.
In addition to the Vunidawa case, police in the Northern Division arrested individuals in Savusavu for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Two suspects face possible obstruction charges after attempting to destroy dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
Another separate arrest in Savusavu involved a man found in possession of methamphetamine.
Further operations in the Western Division led to additional arrests at a juice stand in Lautoka along Vitogo Parade, as well as in Sigatoka and Rakiraki.
ACP Driu credited the success of these operations to the community's willingness to share information about the illicit drug trade.
He urged anyone with information about drug-related activities to contact Crime Stoppers at 919.
