Minister Filipe Tuisawau has called for the resignation of Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu, criticizing his recent comments and leadership.
Tuisawau expressed frustration over Seruiratu's remarks about the lack of work being carried out, suggesting that Seruiratu needs to step out of his Parliament office and recognize the efforts of public service staff and contractors working tirelessly.
Tuisawau highlighted that Seruiratu's comments undermine the dedication of those delivering public services and maintaining infrastructure.
He also pointed out that Seruiratu has only two years left in his term, with many of his opposition members having already deserted him, leaving him without a political party.
Tuisawau further stated that without former Prime Minister Bainimarama, Seruiratu's chances of returning to Parliament are slim.
He called on Seruiratu to resign as Leader of the Opposition, citing his failure to keep his members united.
