Minister Tuisawau Orders Urgent Action on LP II Wreck

Minister for Public Works, Transport and Meteorological Services, Hon. Ro Filipe Tuisawau, visited the Lomaiviti Princess II wreck in Suva Harbour yesterday (9 June 2025), calling for immediate action.

Oil booms and dispersants have been deployed to contain the spill and protect the marine environment.

Plans are underway to refloat and reposition the vessel to clear the navigation channel, followed by its full removal.
