The Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources has welcomed a $40.6 million allocation under the 2025–2026 National Budget — a $4.1 million increase from the previous year.
Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Hon. Filimoni Vosarogo said the funding will strengthen the ministry’s ability to improve land access, water security, disaster preparedness, and sustainable development.
“This is a people-focused budget that addresses what matters most—security, stability, and prosperity,” Vosarogo told Parliament during his response to the budget address.
The increased allocation is expected to support major initiatives, particularly for vulnerable and rural communities.
