Minor Earthquake Felt in Suva, Navua, and Nausori

Residents in Suva, Navua, and Nausori experienced a mild earthquake at 10:07 p.m. last night.
According to Fiji Seismology, the 3.4 magnitude quake was recorded 26 kilometers south of Suva at a depth of 16 kilometers below sea level.
“This is a felt event with reports received from the Navua, Suva to Nausori corridor,” Fiji Seismology stated.
Despite the tremor, authorities confirmed there was no immediate tsunami threat to Fiji or the surrounding region.
