Muaniweni Residents Seek Help to Rebuild Crematorium After Fire
FIJI NEWS

Residents of Muaniweni are asking for public assistance to rebuild their crematorium, which was destroyed by fire on October 26.
Muaniweni Advisory Councilor, Mukesh Deo, stated that this is the only crematorium in the Naitasiri area.
Deo warned that if the crematorium is not rebuilt, families may have to travel to Raralevu for cremation, which would be more expensive due to transportation costs.
The fire broke out between 2 PM and 2:30 PM when a body was being brought in for cremation, quickly spreading and causing around $30,000 in damage.
Efforts to save the structure were unsuccessful.
Individuals interested in providing assistance are encouraged to contact President Naren Prasad at 8400607.
