Narube Refutes Government’s Claims, Calls for Press Conference
FIJI NEWS

Leader of Unity Fiji and former Reserve Bank of Fiji Governor, Savenaca Narube, has strongly rejected accusations from Minister for Finance Biman Prasad and Minister for Climate Change regarding his remarks at the Integrity Summit in Canberra.
Narube clarified that he never called for a reduction in Australian assistance to Fiji, but rather urged Australia to increase its support, particularly in climate change efforts, while ensuring that aid funds are spent effectively.
He criticized the government’s response, calling it personal, misleading, and unprofessional, and accused the ministers of lacking integrity and leadership.
To address what he described as misinterpretations of his statements, Narube has announced a press conference on today, March 4, at 10:00 AM, where he intends to set the record straight.
