Nausori Man Faces Court Over Alleged Facebook Scam

A 44-year-old Nausori man is expected to appear before the Nausori Magistrates Court today after allegedly obtaining more than $3,000 from five victims through an online scam.

Police allege the accused advertised various items for sale on Facebook and received payments from the five victims between November 2024 and December 2025.

The victims reportedly made several attempts to my contact the accused after making their payments, but were unsuccessful.

They later lodged complaints at the Nausori, Totogo and Nasinu Police Stations.Following investigations, the man was charged with five counts of Obtaining Financial Advantage by Deception.

He is scheduled to appear in court today, Monday, 14 September 2026.
