Fuel, Gas, and Kerosene Prices to Rise from Tomorrow
Fijian consumers will need to pay more for fuel, gas, and kerosene starting tomorrow, as prices for these products have increased.
Today, the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) released a media statement outlining the following price changes, effective from tomorrow:
- Unleaded Petrol (Motor Spirit): The price has risen by 5 cents, bringing it to $2.67 per litre.
- Diesel: The price has increased by 9 cents, now costing $2.27 per litre.
- Premix Fuel: The price will go up by 8 cents, reaching $2.51 per litre.
- Kerosene: The price has increased by 7 cents, now at $1.74 per litre.
In addition, LPG prices have also changed:
- 12kg Gas Cylinder: The price has risen by $1.01 to $40.92. This price is VAT exempt.
- 4.5kg Gas Cylinder: The price will go up by 38 cents, now costing $15.35.
- LPG (per kg): The price will increase by 8 cents, bringing it to $3.16 per kg.
These price increases are due to global market factors, including higher international fuel and LPG costs.
The FCCC will continue to monitor and enforce price compliance to ensure consumers are not overcharged.
