NFA Receives New Trucks and Rescue Gear

The National Fire Authority (NFA) has received three new fire trucks and specialized rescue equipment for urban search, swift water rescues, and firefighting — donated by the Queensland Fire & Emergency Services.

At the handover in Walu Bay today, Minister for Housing and Local Government Hon. Maciu Nalumisa said the equipment will strengthen NFA’s emergency response, especially in high-risk Suva-Nausori corridor communities.

“The three trucks will be strategically stationed along the Suva-Nausori corridor due to the increasing number of fire emergencies in that area,” he said.
