The National Federation Party (NFP) remains a proud and committed partner in Fiji’s Coalition Government, determined to deliver on the promises made to the people, said Defence Minister and NFP MP Hon. Pio Tikoduadua.
Speaking during the NFP Ra Branch Annual General Meeting in Rakiraki, Hon. Tikoduadua emphasised the growing strength and unity of the Coalition, which brings together the People’s Alliance, SODELPA, the NFP, and 11 independent MPs who were formerly part of FijiFirst.
“These independent members now serve as Cabinet Ministers, Assistant Ministers, and Members of Parliament within the Government,” Hon. Tikoduadua said. “Their inclusion reflects the broad support and stability our Coalition enjoys.”
He acknowledged the challenging circumstances under which the Coalition assumed office two and a half years ago, following a narrow election victory in 2022. Despite early hurdles, the Coalition’s parliamentary numbers have since strengthened.
“With this increased support, we no longer need to scramble for numbers,” Hon. Tikoduadua said. “We can now focus our efforts fully on serving the people and delivering the change Fijians voted for.”
NFP remains steadfast in its commitment to strengthening democracy, restoring integrity in governance, and building a better future for all Fijians.
