No Rigging of Elections Confirms Government
FIJI NEWS

It is now official that there was no election rigging and there will be no independent audit of the infamous "glitch" in the 2022 elections.
In a significant admission, the government of Fiji has confirmed that the so-called “glitch” during the 2022 General Elections was due to human error—not a system failure or electoral manipulation, as previously alleged by critics.
During a recent Cabinet meeting, it was revealed that there would be no independent audit of the glitch, as an internal review of the Results Management Information System (RMIS) concluded that the issue was purely operational and was swiftly rectified.
Former Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem had maintained all along that the integrity of the election results was never in question despite numerous allegations.
At the time of the election, Saneem had been firm in his stance that the issue arose due to an interrupted data transfer, which momentarily led to misallocated votes being displayed on the results app. He assured the public that the problem was identified, rectified, and had no impact on the final vote count.
Despite Saneem’s explanations, conspiracy theories quickly spread, with opposition figures and some political activists claiming that the election had been rigged. Social media was flooded with speculation, and calls for an independent audit grew louder.
However, with this latest revelation, it is now evident that those claims were baseless.
