On March 12, the Director of the Pacific Centre for Peacebuilding (PCP), Ms. Florence Swamy, paid a courtesy visit to Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu at the Police Headquarters.
Discussions focused on ongoing programs facilitated through the Fiji Police Force’s Community Policing initiative under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in April 2024. The partnership engages both organizations in a multi-tiered program, Repairing and Restoring Justice, which applies Restorative Justice principles to address harm caused by crime.
The Fiji Police Force and PCP have collaborated closely since 2010, conducting workshops and sharing expertise in community-based justice initiatives.
Commissioner Tudravu acknowledged PCP’s continued support and expressed his commitment to strengthening collaboration between the two institutions.
