The Savusavu Operations team conducted a successful raid in the Tacilevu farming area, seizing over 400 plants believed to be marijuana.

The operation is part of a broader initiative targeting established farming areas involved in the illicit drug trade.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Livai Driu, Chief of Operations, stated that investigations are underway to identify the owner of the farm.

He emphasized that tackling the drug trade remains a complex challenge but reiterated the police force’s commitment to disrupting such activities across all five policing divisions.

ACP Driu stated that the focus of law enforcement extends beyond arrests, aiming to address the issue on multiple fronts.

As the holiday season approaches, additional police operations are expected to intensify efforts to combat illegal activities.
