Police Seize Marijuana Plants in Multiple Raids Across Fiji
FIJI NEWS

Divisional task forces continue to disrupt illegal drug networks as they carry out successful raids ahead of the festive season.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu confirmed that in one raid in the Viani farming area near Savusavu, more than 200 plants believed to be marijuana were seized.
In another operation yesterday, over 1,000 marijuana plants were confiscated in the Navosa highlands.
The owners of both farms are yet to be identified.
ACP Driu said these seizures are a significant blow to efforts to reduce the supply of illegal drugs, as many of the plants were being prepared for distribution.
In addition to farm raids, police have also targeted urban areas.
This morning, a raid at the carrier stand in Suva led to the seizure of several parcels of dried leaves, suspected to be marijuana, after two vehicles were searched.
The suspects have been arrested, and investigations are ongoing.
ACP Driu emphasized that the Fiji Police Force is committed to its efforts to disrupt and destabilize drug networks.
He also warned that any attempts to interfere with their operations would be unsuccessful.
