Police are urging parents to inform their children about the dangers and legal consequences of splashing water on moving vehicles.
This call comes after several motorists raised concerns since the New Year, with a recent social media video showing a bus driver as the latest victim.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACPO) Livai Driu emphasized that such actions can cause accidents, leading to injuries or even death.
"Please celebrate responsibly and don't throw water on moving vehicles," said ACP Driu.
He noted that individuals engaging in this behavior could be investigated under Section 15 of the Minor Offences Act 1971 or Section 269 of the Crimes Act 2009 for Negligent Acts Causing Harm.
Depending on the severity of injuries sustained by victims, the offence could escalate to murder charges.
ACP Driu stressed the importance of parental supervision and community involvement in educating children about the serious consequences of their actions.
"Police officers are around and will continue to monitor such incidents. Let's continue to look out for each other and assist in ensuring everyone's safety," he added.
